FAITH CITY KENNEL CLUB3rd AnnualCanine Spay & Neuter ProgramAugust 1st thru 31stClick here for more information.
Chartered in 1958, the Faith City Kennel Club organized to promote purebred dog education and dog fancy. Their first AKC Dog Show held that year was at the Farmers Market Building. Subsequent years' shows are held at the 4-H Complex, the Kickapoo Bowling Lanes, Wichita Falls Activity Center with Spring and Fall shows increasing entries each year. Currently the AKC Sanctioned Dog Shows are at the MPEC Center in the JS Bridwell Ag Building. Now, two shows (back-to-back) are given the 9th weekend of the year. Exhibiting entries average 1200 dogs per show. In 2006, these shows will be held on Saturday, March 4 and Sunday, March 5 at the J. S. Bridwell Agri Center in Wichita Falls, Texas. Judging of the breeds will start after 8:30 a.m. and the show is open to the public. For a number of safety reasons, there are no baby strollers allowed and all children should be accompanied by parents. There will be a concession for refreshments and there will be activities, other than being in the show ring with your dog, to be enjoyed. We always have a good number of vendors to provide almost anything you might want for your animals, whether you are showing them or they are just part of the family. Superintendant Onofrio Dog Shows Faith City Kennel Club Inc. meets the 1st Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. The meeting is open to the public, so if you are interested in attending or would like more information, feel free to contact one of the officers on the link to "Club Officers."
